Dr.
Ambard completed his general dentistry training
in Caracas, Venezuela. After practicing for 2 years, he came
to the United States and completed his specialty training at
two of the most well-known universities in the nation: The University
of Alabama at Birmingham (1998-2001) and the University of Chicago
(2001-2002).
Currently, Dr. Ambard combines private practice with academics.
In addition to his practice, he teaches at the Oregon Health
Sciences University (OHSU) School of Dentistry. He also conducts
research related to dental implants. His main area of interest
is patient satisfaction with prosthodontic implant treatment.
He has published and lectured in the implant and prosthodontic
field.
Dr. Ambard was a Karate-Do pan-American champion and was ranked
#5 in the world ranking in 1992. He is married to Elizabeth,
a physical therapist from Birmingham, AL. They have two sons.
